Program Director
With over three decades of experience supporting children, youth, and families in medical, educational, and community settings, Tamara brings a compassionate and strength-based approach to her work as a dedicated advocate for youth mental health and wellness.
Tamara is passionate about creating accessible, impactful support services and works closely with community partners to expand LTL programming and outreach. Her leadership includes managing a team of clinicians, facilitators, and volunteers while ensuring programs are evidence-based, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the community.
Tamara’s extensive background includes roles as a Certified Child Life Specialist, Child and Youth Counsellor, and Mental Wellness Facilitator with organizations such as BC Children’s Hospital, VIHA, and the YMCA. She is well-versed in program creation, crisis intervention, and culturally competent care and is dedicated to ongoing professional development.
Tamara has a deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s transitions. As a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant and Birth Doula, she has guided families through significant milestones, from birth to end-of-life ceremonies, with sensitivity and respect.
Tamara is dedicated to empowering youth and fostering resilience in the face of grief and loss and finds purpose in providing the grief support she wishes she had in her own youth. Her work is driven by the belief that healing comes through connection, validation, and meaningful support.
Tamara gratefully lives and works on the unceded lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples. During her free time, you’ll find Tamara digging fully into her life by gardening, painting, traveling, singing, dancing on the beach, and making memories with her family.
