Founded in 1988, Friends of Living and Learning Through Loss (LTL) is a non-profit and charitable organization dedicated to providing grief, loss and bereavement education and support services in the Capital Region District for children, youth and families. As we actively work towards expanding our programs and services beyond southern Vancouver Island, we are looking for new, experienced Board members with non profit expertise to support our future goals and plans.
We are seeking four Board Members who will serve a minimum two (2) year term and assist LTL to achieve its Vision of “A community where all youth, and those that support them, have access to education, support, and resources relating to grief, loss and healthy strategies for healing.” The Board meets monthly to govern and oversee the management of the organization. All Board Members are expected to participate in Committee activities and attend meetings as required.
We are currently looking to fill the following roles: • Vice Chair (to eventually replace Chair)
• Treasurer • Secretary
• Directors with related expertise (healthcare delivery, education, governance, legal, non profit, social services)
For more information on our organization, please contact us directly at 250-413-3114. If you're interested in applying for the role of Board member, please send your letter of interest outlining your experience to: info@learningthroughloss.org
